Mini gardens
Each kit includes 3 biodegradable germination pots, 3 substrate discs, 3 seedbombs and 3 growing sheets.
The seed bombs are made according to the Nendo Dango method, developed over 70 years ago by Masanobu Fukuoka. This system preserve the seed for a long time.
The wooden boxes are manufactured at a special employment centre, which provides support, training, and real opportunities to people at risk of social exclusion.
Varieties: Aromatic herbs (parsley, basil and coriander), Tomatoes (cherry, oxheart and raf), Mediterranean (rosemary, thyme and oregano) and Strage vegetables (rainbow swiss chard, purple carrot, pink broccoli).
How to use your mini gardens
Hydrate the substrate tablet
Crumble it into the pot

PARSLEY
Petroselinum crispum (Mill.) Fuss. Umbelíferas
Sow from the end of winter to the end of summer. Can take 3 to 6 weeks to germinate. It can also be grown inside the house all throughout the year, provided it gets a lot of sunlight and an approximate temperature of 18ºC. Needs at least 2 hours of light a day, tolerating both shade and full sunlight. It really likes the heat, although it can adapt to wet climates and resists the cold well. Place in loose soil, better in humid and nitrogenous soils. Needs plenty of water, always keep the soil wet but without flooding it.
BASIL
Ocimum basilicum var. genevese L. Labiada
To be sown in the middle of spring, taking about 10-15 days to sprout. Can also be grown inside the house all throughout the year, provided it gets a lot of sunlight and an approximate temperature of 18ºC. Needs direct exposure to the sun, but while protected, as it can tolerate a little shade. At the start of its growing and towards the end of the summer, we should add some nitrogen-rich compost. Needs plenty of water, always keep the soil wet but without flooding it.
CORIANDER
Coriandrum sativum L. Umbelíferas
This is a very difficult plant to grow at home. It is resistant to frost, but you must grow it in the ground. It needs a lot of light. Can also be grown inside the house all throughout the year, provided it gets a lot of sunlight and an approximate temperature of 18ºC. Very moderate watering needed, not resistant to flooding. Does not require specific nutrients. Place in loose soil. Use mature compost or humus, does not like fresh fertiliser. We recommend harvesting first thing in the morning on cloudy days.

CHERRY TOMATO
Solanum lycopesicum var. L. Solanáceas
Ideal for beginner vegetable growers as it is a very easy plant to look after. Choose a very sunny place, as its optimal temperature is 15-20ºC and it doesn’t tolerate frost. Begin by watering often and the first sprouts will appear after a week. Then, water only once or twice a week, as the excess humidity may give rise to fungus. After germination, transplant directly into the ground or into a 20-litre pot, adding natural fertiliser or compost for it to develop correctly.
OXHEART
Solanum lycopesicum var. L. Solanáceas
A herbaceous and perennial plant. Sow inside December-February or outside March-April. The optimal temperature for germination is 20ºC. Keep the soil wet without flooding it, germination will occur after approximately 10 days. When the plants reach 10-15 cm, transplant them, one by one, to the ground or a 40 cm pot. They need at least 8 hours of sun and are sensitive to drying out. Leave the soil to dry out between watering. Add a stake to keep the stems straight. Fertilise once a month. Harvest after 150 days.
RAF TOMATO
Solanum lycopersicum L. Solanáceas
Multilobed tomato variety with fruits weighing about 180g, featuring a smooth texture and intense flavor. Sow indoors in winter or outdoors in spring; it does not tolerate temperatures below 10°C. Water frequently until germination occurs. Afterward, water twice a week, avoiding excess moisture. Transplant when the plant reaches 10-15 cm directly into the ground or a 30L pot for each seedling. Place in a sunny location. Apply natural fertilizer every two weeks. Harvest starting at 5 months.

RAINBOW SWISS CHARD
Beta vulgaris L. Amarantáceas
Mix of Swiss Chard Seeds with colorful stems and delicate flavor. It can be cultivated throughout the year. Water frequently until germination occurs, typically within 7-14 days. It requires keeping the substrate moist, avoiding waterlogging throughout the cycle. Place in a sunny or partially shaded area; it does not tolerate excessive heat. Transplant directly into the ground or into a 25 L pot for each seedling. Starting at 2 months, you can start harvesting the needed leaves, allowing the plant to continue producing.
PURPLE CARROT
Beta vulgaris L. Amarantáceas
Purple-skinned carrot with a thin skin, purple flesh, and sweet flavor. Sow in late winter or spring. Place the seed bomb entirely in the substrate and keep it moist until germination, typically within 2-3 weeks. Maintain the substrate moist, avoiding waterlogging throughout the cycle. When the leaves reach 5 cm, transplant each seedling individually into the ground or into a 30 cm deep pot. Place in the sun, avoiding intense exposure during summer. Prefer loose substrates. Harvest starting at 80 days.
PINK BROCCOLI
Brassica oleracea L. var. italica Brasicáceas
This broccoli has intensely pink florets with a thin, edible stem. The flavor is milder than traditional broccoli. Sow from May to August. Water frequently until germination, typically within approximately 10 days. Keep the substrate moist, avoiding waterlogging throughout the cycle. Transplant directly into the ground or into a 20 L pot for each seedling. Place in partial shade; it’s sensitive to excessive heat. Apply natural fertilizer every two weeks. Harvest before flowering, starting at 60 days.

ROSEMARY
Rosmarinus officinalis L. LamIáceas
An aromatic perennial shrub used as a condiment to meat and fish. Sow at the end of winter inside or in spring if outside. Germination is slow, so we advise that you keep the soil wet without flooding until the seedlings appear and place in a spot where the plant will get enough sunlight. Once germinated, water when the ground is dry, as the plant will not tolerate excess moisture. Once the plant reaches about 10 cm, transplant directly into the ground or to a pot, adding natural fertiliser or compost, and place in full sunlight. Harvest the young shoots twice a year.
THYME
Thymus vulgaris L. Lamiáceas
Sow inside at the end of winter and keep the soil wet without flooding until germination occurs, after approximately 15-30 days. When the plant reaches 15 cm, you can transplant to a pot or directly into the ground. It needs a good few hours of sun to grow and does not tolerate excess watering, so water only when the earth is dry. Harvest the leaves from the end of spring until the start of autumn, leaving enough leaves so that it can resist the winter.
OREGANO
Oryganum vulgare L. Lamiáceas
Sow at the end of winter or the start of spring. This plant grows slowly. It can also be grown inside the house all throughout the year, provided it gets a lot of sunlight and an approximate temperature of 18ºC. Prefers full sunlight and a dry climate, but does resist the cold well. Water moderately, does not like being flooded. Wait until the surrounding soil dries before watering again. At the start of the summer flowering period, cut off the flowered stems. Better towards midday.
